The fourth episode of the 23rd installment of the popular anime "PreCure" series, "Detective PreCure!", "Heart-pounding! Our First Request!", will be broadcast on ABC TV and TV Asahi at 8:30 a.m. on February 22nd.
Mikuru is frustrated that she has not received any clients even though she has opened her detective agency, when a man named Komatsuzaki Junichi rushes in. Junichi is a university student aspiring to be a manga artist, and he comes to her for advice, saying, "I suddenly noticed that the contents of my bag had changed and the manga manuscript inside was gone." From what Junichi says, Anna and the others deduce that the bags may have been swapped when he bumped into someone in front of the station, and they hear that there was a woman at the scene who had the same bag as Junichi, so they begin searching for that woman.
Suddenly, Goemon of the Phantom Thieves appears and steals the bag. Anna and the others catch up with Goemon using Jet's invention, the Prikit Light, but learn that the bag Goemon was looking for is also Jun'ichi's original bag, and that the Makoto Jewel likely resides in the manga manuscript.
The motif of "Detective PreCure!" is "detectives," and the theme is "see, feel, think, and find the 'true' answer for yourself." The main characters are girls who work as detectives with the desire to "help people in trouble," and are guided by a mysterious power to travel back in time from the present day of 2027 to 1999. The story transcends time and depicts the Pretty Cure's new encounters, friendships, and growth.
The cast includes Senga Hikari as Cure Answer/Akechi Anna, Hondo Kaede as Cure Mystic/Kobayashi Mikuru, and Toyama Nao as Cure Arcana Shadow/Mori Aruru. The mysterious Pretty Cure Cure Eclair will also make an appearance.
