The seventh episode of the new TV anime adaptation of Motoei Shinzawa's comedy manga "High School! Kimengumi," which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) in the 1980s, titled "Hide and Seek in the Mist WARS! / Still Perverted, Ideze Kiyoshi," will air on Fuji TV's anime slot "Noitamina" at 11:30 pm on February 20th. The TV anime adaptation of the series aired from 1985 to 1987, and this will be the first time it has been adapted into an anime in about 39 years.
In "Kirin no Kakurenbo Wars!", Ichido Rei's younger sister, Kiri, appears. Ichido Kiri is an excellent student who excels at both studies and sports. She is also well-regarded by her teachers at school. However, she accidentally forgets that she has a home visit coming up, putting her in a difficult position. Kiri's family, the Ichidos, are full of people who her homeroom teacher would never let her meet. In "Soredemo Sukebe Idese Kiyoshi," Idese Kiyoshi falls in love with someone he destined to love, but his love is defeated. Meanwhile, Kiriide Sho, the leader of the playboy gang, is as popular as ever. Desperate to be popular, Kiyo asks Sho to become his apprentice. Sho's first instruction is to "get rid of your perverted side."
The new anime will be directed by Kazuaki Seki, known for films such as "Kakkaku Shikajika" and "Beethoven Fabrication," and produced by Animation Studio Seven. The Kimengumi members, Rei Ido, will be played by Tomokazu Seki, Go Reikoshi, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Jin Oma, and Kikunosuke Toya, will play Dai Monohoshi.
The original series began as "3-nen Kimengumi" in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1980, and was renamed "High School! Kimengumi" in 1982 as the characters progressed to higher education. It's a slapstick school comedy about the Kimengumi, a famous group of five middle school students: Ichidou Rei, Reikoshi Go, Idese Kiyoshi, Oma Jin, Monohoshi Dai, Kawakawa Yui, and Uru Chie.
