New cuts have been released for the all-new film version of the anime "Assassination Classroom: Everyone's Time," based on the popular manga by Matsui Yusei. The new film will feature a completely new animated adaptation of episodes that have never been filmed before. The released cuts include a group photo of Class E, symbolizing the bond between Korosensei and his students, the secret team plotting something in a dimly lit Japanese-style room, Okano and Maehara singing harmoniously, and Korosensei in his salaryman uniform being glared at by some dangerous people. Also included is a mysterious girl who looks exactly like Nagisa.
Korosensei shrines will open at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) and T-Joy PRINCE Shinagawa (Minato-ku, Tokyo) from February 20th. At the shrines, you can have Korosensei tell your fortune for the day and listen to his newly recorded voice. At Shinjuku Wald 9, a large banner featuring Korosensei's face will be displayed from February 21st. If you scan the QR code printed on the banner with a smartphone or other device, an AR photo frame exclusive to Shinjuku Wald 9 will appear.
A "Local Korosensei" project will also be launched at theaters across the country. In addition to the standard Korosensei standees being displayed at theaters showing the new film, limited edition standees dressed as local specialties, such as oden from Ishikawa Prefecture, shumai from Kanagawa Prefecture, and a polar bear from Kagoshima Prefecture, will be available at 15 theaters nationwide. A "Local Korosensei Smartphone Wallpaper" with the same design as the standee can be obtained by scanning the QR code printed on the standee.
"Assassination Classroom" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from July 2012 to March 2016. The story revolves around Korosensei, a mysterious creature who evaporated 70% of the moon, becoming the homeroom teacher of Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Middle School, a school full of dropouts, and the students attempting to assassinate him.
The TV anime series aired from January to June 2015 and January to June 2016, and the film "Assassination Classroom: 365 Days of Time," a compilation of the TV anime and new original episodes, was released in 2016. The spin-off, "Korosensei Q (Quest)!", was also made into an anime. A live-action film starring Hey! Say! JUMP's Yamada Ryosuke was also released.
The new movie will be produced to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the TV anime series and will be released on March 20th.
