"Human Gourmet: Omoumai-ten" (Chukyo TV/Nippon TV, Tuesdays at 7pm) is a variety show that introduces "surprising stores" that go beyond imagination. On March 3rd, they will be introducing a soba restaurant in Shizuoka City where the owner, a former boxer, makes his own soba noodles.
The owner prepares the "Seiro" (1,000 yen) with confidence. "I'm eating the blessings of nature. It makes me happy," he says. The specialty "Sobagaki" (1,000 yen) is made with a unique cooking method that involves punching the dough in the pot with about 100 powerful punches, resulting in an incredibly fluffy texture.
The owner's speciality is that he always praises his own food. He never stops praising himself, saying things like, "If I were a customer, I'd try every single one," and "It's 100 points." What's more, the fried chicken looks so delicious that he sometimes snacks on it before serving it to the customers.
The owner boasts that he has the ability to "read the future" and begins to show incredible moves in the kitchen. What is his unpredictable customer service?
The show will be hosted by talent Hiromi, and hosted by comedy trio "Bike King" member Eiji Kotoge. Guests will include actor Junpei Mizobata, comedian Mayurika, and talent Kasumi Mori.
