"Human Gourmet: Omoumai-ten" (Chukyo TV/Nippon TV, Tuesdays at 7pm) is a variety show that introduces "amazing restaurants" that go beyond imagination. On February 10th, they will be introducing a restaurant in Yokohama that has become a hot topic, with the owner claiming that the restaurant is "so cheap that it's making money from Uber Eats."
In a June 2021 broadcast, Shokuraku Tazawako became a hot topic as "the owner of a restaurant whose prices are so low he makes money on Uber Eats." The izakaya restaurant run by the owner attracts customers with its cheap and delicious dishes, such as grilled yellowtail collar (385 yen at the time of the interview) and a new menu item, chicken nanban (549 yen).
He has now suspended deliveries and is also the owner of a nearby ramen shop. His "Ramen" (900 yen), which he tried out on his own without inheriting the recipe from his predecessor, has been well-received, along with his "All-You-Can-Eat Rice" (100 yen, lunchtime).
The days are tough, with him commuting between the two stores from early morning until late at night, cutting into his sleep, but the owner laughs it off, saying, "It's fun, so it's fine." The show will be hosted by talent Hiromi, and hosted by comedy trio Baikingu's Eiji Kotoge. Guest appearances will include comedy trio Panther, and popular group Juice=Juice's Reina Inoue and Sayaka Endo.
