Season 2 of "Warota!", a comedy show featuring the popular group SixTONES that was streamed on Prime Video last year, has been announced. "Warota! SEASON2" will be available on Prime Video starting July 29th. Two episodes will be released every Wednesday at midnight, for a total of eight episodes.
"Warota!" is a show where SixTONES takes on various types of comedy sketches, including situational skits, series skits, and short skits, with each episode featuring a different guest, such as a stellar cast of actors and comedians, or up-and-coming creators, and is written and directed by them. In addition to sequels to the sketches from Season 1, Season 2 will feature new sketches, and SixTONES will give their all to tackle an even more powerful array of comedy sketches.

Thank you for Season 2!! Last time we received a lot of feedback and many people told us it was funny, so we're really happy to be able to deliver "LOL!" again. This time it's even more powerful than last time, and there are lots of new skits. I'm so happy that Season 2 has been confirmed. It's rare for the six of us in SixTONES to have the opportunity to act in the form of comedy sketches, and I'm having a lot of fun recording with the guest cast again this time. Having experienced the last season, I've gotten the hang of the rhythm, and I feel like there are parts that I'm used to in a good way, as well as parts that I can be even more particular about. I think we're able to create the work more carefully by giving a lot of input ourselves, so I hope you can feel that power-up. I hope it's a show that will make you laugh a lot, forget about your troubles, and make you think, "I'll do my best tomorrow!", so please feel free to relax and enjoy watching it.

Some of the skits are carried over from Season 1, while others were planned for the last season but were put on hold. I think Season 2 has a balance between the parts that have matured over time and the parts that can still be made fresh. Not only the six of us, but we've also been able to do a lot of skits with our guests, and I feel like the world of the show is gradually expanding. We've been able to take on even bolder challenges than last time, and I'm confident that everyone will laugh and enjoy it. There are lots of skits that I think will make you think "That was fun!" after you watch them, so I hope you'll enjoy watching all of them!

We are also happy to be able to show you another fun side of SixTONES. There were many skits from Season 1 that made us think, "I want to watch this again," and there were also some that made us curious about what would happen next, so we are really glad that we were able to make a Season 2. Last time, we were feeling our way around a bit, but this time we ourselves have grasped the atmosphere of the show, so I think we are able to approach the skits more freely. Simply put, I'm so happy that we're doing a second season. Last time, with "Warota!", I rediscovered how fun comedy sketches are, so this time too, I'm enjoying the filming process and trying to deliver new kinds of laughter. Even now, some time after the release of Season 1, I still get people around me saying, "'Warota!' was so funny," and I've felt the show's reach gradually expanding over the past year. I'm truly happy that we can now bring you Season 2. Filming is as tough as ever, though (laughs). The tension of a one-take shoot and the humor of the ad-libs that come out on the spot are unique to this show. This season also features characters and skits carried over from the previous season, so those who watched Season 1 will enjoy it even more, and I think even first-time viewers will have a good laugh.
