The synopsis for episode 4 (airing May 3rd) of the TBS Sunday drama "GIFT" (Sundays at 9 PM), starring actor Shinichi Tsutsumi, has been released.
Set against the backdrop of wheelchair rugby, a parasport, the story follows Wutetsu Fumito, a genius astrophysicist played by Tsutsumi, as he searches for answers to difficult problems facing his underdog team. Through genuine emotional and physical challenges, he learns the importance of friendship and family in this story of bonds and redemption. This is a completely original story, with the script written by Tomoki Kanazawa, who has worked on Netflix dramas such as "Sanctuary" and the TV series "Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle?".

When Bando (Keitatsu Koshikawa) falls after colliding with Keijiro (Kyohei Honda), his mother Yoko (Mari Nishio) reacts in an overly exaggerated way. Hino (Michiko Kichise) tells Keijiro and Hitoka (Kasumi Arimura) about the incident that happened three years ago that caused the reaction.
Wu Tetsu (Shinichi Tsutsumi), who recognizes Bando's talent, likens Bando to a planet and Yoko to a giant satellite orbiting it, and ponders how Bando can shine. He finds the answer and goes to meet Yoko.
Later, a crack is discovered in Keijiro's wheelchair. He goes to wheelchair craftsman Takamizu (Hiromasa Taguchi) to ask him to repair it, but Keijiro enrages the difficult Takamizu, and to make matters worse, it turns out that the wheelchair is severely damaged and beyond repair.
Meanwhile, something strange is happening to Hitoka's father, Hideo (played by Takatoshi Yamanaka)...!
