TV Asahi has achieved a triple crown in average viewership ratings (according to Video Research, Kanto region) for the 2025 fiscal year (March 31, 2025 to March 29, 2026) in all time slots, golden time slot, and prime time slot, for both individual and household viewership ratings. The station announced this on March 30. This marks the second consecutive year of achieving a triple crown in individual viewership ratings and the fourth consecutive year of achieving a triple crown in household viewership ratings.
For individuals as a whole, the all-day time slot (6 AM to midnight) accounted for 3.4%, the golden time slot (7 PM to 10 PM) for 5.2%, and the prime time slot (7 PM to 11 PM) for 5.2%. For households, the all-day time slot accounted for 6.3%, the golden time slot for 8.8%, and the prime time slot for 8.9%, placing them at the top.
According to the network, the main drivers of viewership ratings in fiscal year 2025 were prime-time news programs, including "Hodo Station," and morning/daytime news and information programs. "Hodo Station" recorded an average annual rating of 6.0% (overall individual viewers), making it the top-rated program in its time slot for the seventh consecutive year since fiscal year 2019.
