It has been announced that a digital illustration card featuring newly drawn artwork, titled "10 Years Later, ' Yusei Matsui Assassination Classroom'," will be distributed starting April 3rd as the third bonus item for moviegoers of "Assassination Classroom: Everyone's Time," a brand new theatrical film based on the popular manga by Yusei Matsui. At theaters, a card with a QR code will be distributed, and scanning the QR code will allow viewers to download the digital illustration card.
The newly drawn visual depicts Nagisa and Karma 10 years in the future, having coincidentally visited Azusa, Koro-sensei's favorite izakaya (Japanese pub). Nagisa meets Hotaru for the first time, who has grown into a fine waitress running the shop, while Karma, dressed in a suit, smiles defiantly, holding a photo of Koro-sensei and the Assassin Team as a memento. Kaede Kayano, now an actress, is visible on the TV in the shop, and the visual is filled with "love" for "Assassination Classroom" in every detail.
The QR code cards distributed at the theater are designed to resemble receipts from the izakaya "Azusa," and the message "Come again, Hotaru" is handwritten by Mai Fuchigami, who played both Nagisa and Hotaru in this film.
Fuji TV's anime introduction program "Animedama," hosted by comedian Koji Higashino, will air a special episode on March 30th at 12:45 AM featuring Matsui, the original author of "Assassination Classroom." The program will showcase his home and workplace, delving into the behind-the-scenes story of the work's creation and his dedication to anime.
"Assassination Classroom" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from July 2012 to March 2016. The story follows Koro-sensei, a mysterious creature who evaporated 70% of the moon, who becomes the homeroom teacher of Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School, a class full of underachievers, and the students attempt to assassinate him.
The TV anime aired from January to June 2015 and again from January to June 2016. A theatrical film, "Assassination Classroom : 365 Days," which combined a compilation of the TV anime with new original episodes, was released in 2016. A spin-off, "Koro-sensei Q (Quest)!", was also adapted into an anime. A live-action film starring Ryosuke Yamada of " Hey! Say! JUMP " was also released.
The new theatrical film was produced to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the TV anime series. It features completely new animated episodes that had never been adapted into animation before. It was released on March 20th.
