It has been announced that the TV anime " Petals of Reincarnation ," based on the manga by Mikihisa Konishi serialized in "MAGCOMI" (Mag Garden), will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other channels from April 2nd. Additional cast members have also been announced, with Katsuyuki Konishi playing Xiang Xianyu, the leader of the criminal army; Yoshimasa Hosoya playing Hokusokusai, the captain of the Special Self-Defense Force's Black Sharp Unit and best friend of Touya's older brother, Seiya; and Yoshimasa Hosoya Hanae playing Natsuki Hanae, a member of the Black Sharp Unit and head of the Reincarnated Persons Research Lab.
Konishi commented, "I've always loved the original manga, but with so many volumes released, I thought it might be difficult to make it into an anime. Then I heard a rumor that it would be made into an anime, and I was asked to play the role of Xiang Shanyu! Thank you for letting me be involved! Please look forward to seeing how Xiang Shanyu will be involved in the story!"
Hosoya said, "In a story where people with superpowers turn against humanity, Kitazuka is a character who fights back against them with his superhuman physical abilities. The work has a lot of dialogue in order to convey the complex setting to the viewers, so I enjoyed the voice recording. The character designs are unique, and I think you will enjoy seeing how the people with superpowers appear. Please check out Petals of Reincarnation."
Hanae commented, "He's a brilliant researcher who appears from the beginning, and of course he's very intelligent, but he's also incredibly cheerful and just his presence lightens the mood... he's a really funny guy (laughs). While he's reliable, his unique energy, which is good in a way that doesn't read the room, creates a good rhythm in the story, so I'm having fun playing him to the fullest! The third key visual has also been released, depicting the Criminal Army, a group of wanderers who have awakened to their criminal talents. When combined with the previously released visual of the Great Men's Grove, it creates a composition where the Great Men's Grove and the Criminal Army face each other. The third promotional video has also been released, featuring the main characters from each faction of the Great Men's Grove and the Criminal Army.
The series began serialization in "Monthly Comic Blade" in 2014. It's a supernatural battle manga about Toya Senji, a high school student who, due to his lack of talent, is intensely hungry for it, and uses the talent he acquires to confront his past and future. The anime is directed by Shun Kudou and produced by BENTEN Film.
