The seventh episode of the NHK BS period drama "Fuurai Cloud," starring actor Kuranosuke Sasaki, will be broadcast on March 8th. The subtitle of the episode is "The White Hood and the Shinsengumi." Chuji (Shuhei Nomura), a wanderer who saves Kame (Kana Kurashina) from a thug, is the "White Hooded Hero" who is causing a stir in society.
"Fuurai Gumo" is a period drama based on the manga of the same name by George Akiyama. The setting is Shinagawa-shuku at the end of the Edo period. Fuurai Gumo is an eccentric man who wears a woman's kimono and has his hair tied in front of his forehead. While living his days freely with an elusive and fluffy appearance, he also gently changes people's destinies without them realizing it. This is a hymn to humanity filled with laughter and tears.
In episode 7, Tadatsugu, a wanderer who saved Kame from a thug, develops a high fever. Kame takes him to Yumeya and nurses him back to health. He tells Fuuragumo (played by Sasaki) that Tadatsugu is the mysterious White Hooded hero who has caused a stir in society. Meanwhile, Shinnosuke (played by Kawahara Eito) visits the apprentice disciple of the ill Shibusawa (played by Satoi Kenta), but is ashamed when his charity intentions are seen through.
Then, Fuurai Kumo finds out that the person making Tadatsugu play the white hood is Shinsengumi's Ito Koshitaro (Watanabe Dai)...
