On February 27th, actress Erika Sawajiri appeared on stage with lead actor Ryo Narita at the opening day greetings for the film "#Spread" (directed by Shirogane), which was released on the same day, held in Tokyo. Shortly after appearing, Narita teased her, saying, "It's cool in here, Erika-sama is in a good mood," to which Sawajiri burst out laughing and explained, "It was so hot back there just now..."
Sawajiri appeared in a black mini dress with a large open back. When the host asked her, "Your back is beautiful, could you please do a spin?", she shyly spun around on the spot, eliciting a loud cheer from the audience.
The film is a social suspense drama that takes the COVID-19 pandemic as its theme and offers a poignant portrayal of the chaotic reality of modern society. The story revolves around Asaoka Shinji (played by Narita), a caregiver who is tormented by deep loss and doubt after his wife dies shortly after receiving the vaccine, and Fukushima Minami (played by Sawajiri), a newspaper reporter who lost her fiancé to a medical accident and is interested in Asaoka, who is in a similar situation.
This is Narita and Sawajiri's second time acting together since the film "No Longer Human: Dazai Osamu and Three Women" (2019). Narita said, "It was my first time acting in a full-scale production, so I was excited every day," while Sawajiri expressed her gratitude, saying, "It's been a while since I've worked on a film, so I was nervous, but she pulled me along, so I could rely on her!" When asked about her impression, Narita revealed, "I feel her strength. When Sawajiri returned to Tokyo early (from Toyama, where filming took place), the morale on set dropped considerably. I wonder if I should say this (laughs)."
Kasumi Yamatani, Mariko Akama, Tetsu Funagayama, Shion Suzuki, and director Shirogane also appeared on stage to greet the audience.
