The drama is a film adaptation of Yokoseki Dai's novel "Reunion" (Kodansha), which won the 56th Edogawa Rampo Prize (2010), starring Takeuchi. Four classmates share a "secret" that they buried the gun used in a crime under a cherry tree during their elementary school days. 23 years later, Junichi (Takeuchi), who has become a detective, reunites with his first love, Iwamoto Makiko (Inoue Mao), one of the four, only to find that she has become a suspect in a new murder case. This heartbreaking human love mystery begins with a fateful reunion.
The subtitle of episode 7 is "You Can't Escape Anymore." In episode 7, Junichi (Takeuchi) finally confesses that he was the one who shot and killed the bank robber 23 years ago. However, "that case isn't over yet." Detective Minami Ryo (Eguchi Noriko) warns Makiko (Inoue) and other classmates not to tell anyone about Junichi's confession. Meanwhile, Minami Ryo secretly revisits Makiko, whose alibi has been ruined, in search of the truth behind the murder of the supermarket manager. The situation takes a sudden turn that no one could have foreseen...
