The theatrical compilation film of "Maebashi Witches," an original anime set in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, depicting the growth of five high school students aiming to become witches, will be titled " Maebashi Witches : The Movie - Emo-Emo-Mories of Witch Apprentices," and is scheduled for release in the fall of 2026. A teaser visual featuring the girls aiming to become witches has also been released.
It was also announced that the anime-born voice actress idol unit "Maebashi Witches" will hold their 2nd anniversary live concert, "' Maebashi Witches' 2nd Anniversary Live ~We are Maebashi Witches!!~," on September 26th and 27th at the Shoken Gakuen Maebashi Hall (Maebashi Civic Culture Center) Small Hall in Maebashi City. There will be a total of three performances.
"Maebashi Witches" is a coming-of-age story about five high school girls in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, depicting their growth as they face various challenges while aiming to become witches. Junichi Yamamoto directed the series, and Erika Yoshida, who worked on the NHK Asadora drama "The Tiger and Her Wings" and the anime "Bocchi the Rock!", was in charge of series composition and scriptwriting. It was produced by SUNRISE Studios. The TV anime aired from April to June 2025.
