It has been announced that Daisuke Ono and Aya Endo will be voice actors in the TV anime "Uchi no Otouto-domo ga Sumimasen," based on the romantic comedy manga by Akira Ozaki, known for "Arisugawa-san in Wonderland" and "Haru x Kiyo." Ono will play Isao, the father of the Narita family, and Endo will play Saho, the mother. It was also announced that the band "DISH//" will be in charge of the opening theme (OP) "Aikotoba," and singer-songwriter Shio Reira will be in charge of the ending theme (ED) "Clover." A second promotional video using the OP and ED has been released.
Ono commented, "I've had the pleasure of working with director Hitoshi Nanba on another project, so I was happy to be given the role of Isao. For some reason, when I do voice-overs for foreign films, I often end up playing married couples or couples with Aya Endo, so I felt a strong connection to her. The entire staff and cast shared the same warmth, and it was a very harmonious recording session. I hope that gentle warmth comes across in the anime."
Endo said, "I will be playing Narita Saho, Ito's mother. As those who have read the original work will know, it is very amusing. I was grinning all the time except during the actual voice recording sessions. I was writhing in agony every time, so I wonder what will happen when I see the finished product! As a viewer, I am really looking forward to it. Every time I came to the studio, I felt happy seeing the characters and my fellow cast members and thinking, 'What a wonderful family I've met!' Please look forward to the broadcast."
Takumi Kitamura of "DISH//" commented, "When we were told about the tie-up, we were surprised because we never thought a band like ours would be approached. It's a tie-up that will bring something new, and at the same time, we thought it would be fun to live up to those expectations. Since it's the opening theme, we wanted it to be a song that would open the story. And at the same time, we wanted it to be a song that would make people think about the future lives of Ito-chan and everyone else. We created it with the hope that the common language and catchphrase that will be born because they become a family will surely be full of love."

"Sorry About My Little Brothers" is a romantic comedy set under one roof. High school girl Ito suddenly becomes the older sister of four unique "little brothers" after her mother remarries. The series began serialization in "Bessatsu Margaret" (Shueisha) in 2020 and has become a popular work with over 3 million copies of the comics sold. A live-action film adaptation starring actress Mei Hata was released in 2024, which also generated a lot of buzz.
The anime will be directed by Hitoshi Nanba, known for works such as "GOSICK," and produced by Lay-duce. It will begin airing on TOKYO MX, BS11, and other channels starting July 3rd. All 24 episodes will be broadcast over two consecutive seasons.
