"Radio Star" is a nonstop entertainment drama set in Noto, depicting how ordinary citizens become stars. The cast includes Masahiro Kohmoto, Kiyohiko Shibukawa, Shoma Kai, Kaito Oyagi, Shunsuke Kazama Kazama, Tsutomu Tamura, Takako Tokiwa Tokiwa, and Manami Ono from the idol group "Hinatazaka46". The theme song is "Fune Ippai no Sachi wo" (A Boat Full of Happiness), written and composed by Yumi Matsutoya and sung by MISIA.
In the first episode, Kanade Hiiragi (Fukuchi) comes from Osaka to a town in the Noto region to volunteer. She has come relying on Matsumoto (Kohmoto), a farmer she knows, but is suddenly taken to a radio test broadcast site. Without understanding what is happening, Kanade is made to stand in front of the microphone. Matsumoto was trying to set up a radio station in this town.
After hearing Kanade's talk, Matsumoto asked her to officially become a radio personality.
