The 12th episode of the NHK Taiga drama "BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）" (NHK General, Sundays at 8 PM, etc.), starring actor Taiga Nakano, aired on March 29th and recorded an average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region) of 11.4% for households and 6.6% for individuals. In this episode, Chika, played by Riho Yoshioka, made her first appearance, and her meeting and reunion with Koichiro (Nakano) was depicted.
"BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）" is the 65th Taiga drama. With Toyotomi Hidenaga (Koichiro) as the protagonist, it depicts the miraculous feat of unifying Japan together with his older brother Hideyoshi (Tokichiro) through their strong bond, a success story of dreams and hopes.
In episode 12, Nobunaga (Shun Oguri Oguri) presents Yoshiaki (Ukon Onoe) with the Fujito Stone, known as the "stone of the ruler of Japan." However, Yoshiaki is beginning to realize that he and Nobunaga have different goals.
Meanwhile, Fujikichiro (Sosuke Ikematsu) is appointed as the Kyoto Magistrate. While busy with their duties, Koichiro and Fujikichiro are taken by Nobunaga to visit Odani Castle where Ichi (Aoi Miyazaki) is staying. Nagamasa (Ayumu Nakajima) and Ichi appear happy, but behind the scenes, Nagamasa's father, Hisamasa (Takaaki Enoki), who does not think highly of the Oda clan, is making suspicious moves...and so the story unfolds.
When Koichiro returned to Gifu after a long absence, he offered souvenirs from Kyoto at Nao's (Shiraishi Sei) grave and clasped his hands together in prayer, but was captivated by the sight of a woman he happened to see there. Later, Koichiro was summoned by Nobunaga. Ando Morinari (Tetsushi Tanaka) stood beside Nobunaga, and Koichiro was ordered by Nobunaga to take a wife. The woman who came to be his bride was the same woman he had seen when he visited the grave the other day. Morinari introduced her to Koichiro, saying, "This is my daughter, Kei."
