NHK's evening drama "Hirayasumi" (Monday to Thursday, 10:45 p.m.), starring actor Amane Okayama, will begin airing on November 3rd. The live-action drama is based on the manga of the same name by Keigo Shinzo, which has been serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits since 2021. Okayama will play the protagonist, a part-time worker, alongside Nana Mori and Riho Yoshioka.
The story is about 29-year-old part-time worker Hiroto Ikuta, who inherits a single-story house from his neighbor Hanae Wada (played by Tokie Negishi), and begins living with his 18-year-old cousin Natsumi Kobayashi (played by Mori), who has moved to Tokyo from Yamagata. People with difficult problems gather around them, and this is the story.
The main character, Hiroto, is a former actor living in Asagaya. He currently works part-time at a nearby fishing pond. He has no girlfriend and no worries about the future. He's a carefree, free spirit who doesn't worry too much, but he does put a lot of thought into what he's going to have for dinner. By chance, he becomes friends with Hanae, who lives in a nearby one-story house, and they start treating each other to dinner twice a week. After Hanae's sudden death, he inherits the house.
Mori plays Natsumi, a girl who moves to Tokyo from Yamagata to attend art school and starts living with her cousin Hiroto in a one-story house. Yoshioka plays Tachibana Yomogi, who works at a real estate company and becomes acquainted with Hiroto by chance, but is often irritated by his carefree attitude. Yoshimura Kaito and Mitsushima Nazuna also appear in the film.
In the first episode, one winter, Hiroto's neighbor, Hanae, who he had become close with by chance, suddenly passes away, and he ends up inheriting a one-story house. Three months later, his cousin Natsumi moves to Tokyo from Yamagata to attend art school. The carefree young man and the impressionable girl who has just moved to Tokyo begin their life together in the one-story house... Scene cuts have also been released.
